Update - as of 29th of March

Dear All,

We are delighted to be able to welcome you back to see your horses and the team at Southfield. As we reach a year since the pandemic started, we are really looking forward to regaining a bit of normality again! Having said this, both Karen and I wanted to highlight some important housekeeping in order to ensure that all of you and our staff remain safe whilst allowing everyone an opportunity to see their horses.

We are very relieved that we have not had a COVID outbreak here and none of the team have contracted the virus. This has meant that we haven’t had to close the business to quarantine and everyone has remained in very good health. As I’m sure you can all appreciate, we would really like to keep it this way. Therefore, we ask that you please let us know when you would like to visit, so we can try to accommodate you whilst remaining in the rule of six and thus maintaining everyone’s safety. We are also aware of public perception, due to the home gallops being in the centre of the village. Arranging visits this way will allow all owners the chance to visit and means that we can plan according to your horses regime so that you don’t miss seeing them work.

We would really appreciate it if you could make sure that you have a mask with you and some hand sanitiser, especially to come into main yard, as this is necessary under the new BHA guidelines. The tack room will provisionally be a staff only area.

Lastly and most importantly, we would all like to thank you for your continued support and gratuity during these difficult times. Things are very different from last year, but one thing that definitely stays the same is our appreciation for your support and  all that you do.

Best wishes,

Linda, Karen and The Team
