Virtual Owners' Day!

It’s here - our eagerly awaited first attempt at a virtual owners’ day!

All the staff have pulled together to make this happen and it has been cleverly edited by John Reynolds.

Just when we were about to launch this, the laptop told us it was too big - I was a bit alarmed when Pauline told me John’s computer over heated so much whilst trying to upload this that he had to put it in the freezer! So, it now comes in two parts which is great as it gives you time to refill your glass halfway through!

We had so much fun doing this for you, and whilst we hope you enjoy, we think we should stick to training horses!

Part One

Part Two

Iconic Flight, Hab Sab, Invincible Sea and Uallrightharry

This week, more of our horses have been to work locally at Merty McGrath and Gallager Equine's gallops. In the first video, you can listen to how Harry, Crunchie, Nancy and Jim got on from Karen, Ollie, Aimee and Charlotte.

Toor General and Dee Why

On saturday morning, Toor and Charlie also went to Merty's gallop. Please watch the video to hear Karen and Ollie talk about how they got on!

Schooling field back up and running!

Paul and Ollie have been working hard over the past few weeks to prepare the jumps and the schooling field for use. Uallrightharry was given the pleasure of being the first one to school over them, which he did very nicely.

Harry then showed Nancy (Invincible Sea) and Poppy (Urban Scene) how it's done and both mares stepped up and jumped brilliantly, with this being Poppy's first time jumping on turf.

Next was Dee Why (Charlie) and Royal Concorde (Joey). Both horses are coming on leaps and bounds with their work this season, and this was no exception!

Harry and Ginger in the mud!

After Uallrightharry went to an away gallop on Wednesday morning, he had a turnout with Linda's trainer's hack Ginger, who I'm sure a lot of you will remember as Red Anchor when he was in training. Ginger seems to be teaching Harry how to find the best rolling places, and he thoroughly enjoyed running around with Harry, pretending he's in training again!

Hab Sab Makes All!

On Monday the 19th of October, the team were delighted to welcome in the first winner of the season! Hab Sab (Crunchy) comfortably led throughout his seasonal debut, and when challenged at the penultimate fence, picked himself back up and went on to win - jockey Dave Crosse said he was just having tea break! Owned by Pauline Reynolds, Crunchy jumped like a stag and proved how brave and fit he really is; a real testament to all at home who have worked so hard to get him ready. In the video below, you can see the final two fences of the race, and Hab Sab running home strongly.

Crunchy and Jenny, who rides him out and looks after him at home and at the races!

Enjoying some well deserved time in the field the day after his run!
